At Cedar Gables, we believe in balancing high-quality care with time to rest, recharge, and be with family. Below you’ll find our list of observed holidays and other planned breaks. We encourage families to plan ahead to best take advantage of these days to be together.

Other School Breaks

• New Year’s Eve

• Black Friday (day after Thanksgiving)

• Christmas Eve

Professional Development Days

• Late May (the Friday before Memorial Day)

• Mid-Late August (third Friday…regional)

• Mid-October (Columbus / Indigenous Peoples’ Day)

Note: When a holiday falls midweek, we may close an additional adjacent day or two to provide more together time for families (and a little extra break for our amazing teachers). Families will be notified of the exact dates for all planned center closures so they can plan accordingly.
