Every journey has a first step and with Cedar Gables it was no different. The center was founded in 1971 as a part-time preschool to help better prepare children for Kindergarten. In time, because of increased customer demand and based on a desire to serve more families, the center expanded its hours and services to provide full-time preschool and childcare.
When you take that first step into our school, you and your child will find an uncommon experience. Cedar Gables has a ‘home away from home’ feel and a love for learning woven throughout the school environment. This is a place where exploration, discovery, and excitement define all your daily experiences. In Cedar Gables we pride ourselves on providing healthy and safe spaces, nurturing teachers, and engaging opportunities for learning. We’re here for you throughout the most critical early years of development. This journey, from infancy to toddler to preschooler, all the way to school-age child, begins here—with us.
Owner / Director
Tara has always loved working with children and, as a mother of five, brings a wealth of practical experience to Cedar Gables. Prior to joining Cedar Gables she managed a non-profit children’s organization with between 35-60 children ranging in ages 18 months to 12 years old. She’s organized, structured, and focused on taking Cedar Gables to the next level as a learning center. Her true superpower is her ability to connect with children, identify their specific needs, and then nurture and encourage them as they grow and develop.
Owner / Customer Experience
Doug currently manages the enterprise customer experience measurement (voice of the customer) program for a Fortune 100 Life Insurance company and loves hearing from customers and using that information to create exceptional experiences. He is super excited about the opportunity to improve the customer experience at Cedar Gables.
