Technology Use

At Cedar Gables Preschool, we believe that childhood is best experienced through hands-on learning, meaningful relationships, and active play. That’s why we take a thoughtful, research-informed approach to technology use in our classrooms.

Guided by Expert Recommendations

We follow the American Academy of Pediatrics' guidelines on screen time to help promote healthy brain development, positive social interaction, and physical activity. Our goal is to ensure that technology, when used, is intentional, educational, and age-appropriate.

Occasional Exceptions

At times, older children may watch an age-appropriate show or movie—such as during inclement weather when outdoor play is not possible, or on full days of care during school breaks. These moments are limited and used with intention to offer a relaxing, age-suitable experience.
