I first learned of Cedar Gables through a family member who was sending her son to the the same day care that my son Taylor was attending at the time. When she moved her son to Cedar gables she explained to me the difference in both the facility and the feeling of the envoirnment. Karen's philosophy of how she cares for the childeren and loves them was right in line with what I was looking for, for my son. I moved Taylor over to Cedar Gables and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. Karen was able to provide for Taylor what I was not able to, because I was working full time. A place that Taylor loved and still loves to visit and more important a place where he felt safe and happy. I have become very close to Karen and her family, I consider them like family. Taylor is now 12 and no longer attends Cedar Gables, but my other son Christopher who is 4 years old and in the toddler room, enjoys going every day to play, learn and socialize.I am so impressed with Miss Lauren his current teacher!!Karen through her expeirence displays her knowledge of child developement and education with out sacrificing kindness, and sincere concern for each child in her care. Karen and her staff have a way of caring, teaching and connecting with all the children from the infant room to the toddler room. Prior to Taylor attending Cedar Gables he attendedt three day cares, before we found the perfect fit for him and our family. If you are looking for a place for your child to attend and need the assurance that they are being treated well and in a positive enviornment I strongly recommend Cedar Gables!! You cam put your self at ease with Karen and her kind staff.

As a new mother I was very weary of placing my son in a childcare environment, but when I heard about CedarGables through a friend and neighbor I decided to schedule a tour. I was instantly impressed; Karen and the entire staff made me feel extremely comfortable. The environment is exactly what I was looking for in a daycare (and preschool) and the moment I stepped in the door I knew that this was the place for my son. My son started attending CedarGables when he was 5 months old, he is now 41/2 and my 21/2 year old daughter is enrolled as well. The overall set-up of the school is very nice; the children have access to various types of play dependent on the age of the child. Each child is given time for independent play, but a circle time is also included. My kids come home every day excited about what they learned or did at school. Some of their favorites include learning new songs, dancing, arts and crafts, table time, reading books, show and tell and participating in activities like, â??Party Bears.â? My kids are happy, excited and involved in what is going on at CedarGables and it shows. As a parent you could not ask for better people to care for your child. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, trustworthy and very good with children of all ages. Karen has become a friend to our family over the years and words could not express the invaluable support and advice she has provided us with; from the absolute basics of caring for a newborn to the more complicated tantrums of a four year old. CedarGables has become our home away from home and I strongly recommend them; you will not find care like this anywhere else.

May 11, 2010 To all potential members of Cedargables family: My name is Jami Cheneski and my husband JP and I canâ??t say enough good things about Cedargables. We have 2 boys, Brady (3 ½ yrs) is in the preschool and Colby (21 mos) just graduated to the toddler room. We have been part of the Cedargables family since January 2007. When we started looking in 2006 for childcare we explored many options. We live in New Fairfield and there are 2 daycares 1 mile from our home but both are in strip malls and the outdoor play areas are concrete jungles. My husband and I have to work so I wanted to find a â??homeâ? for our kids as close as we could to our own. After a recommendation from our friend Marisa (another member of the Cedargables family) we visited and instantly fell in love with the facility and felt very comfortable with the staff but most importantly the children appeared very happy. You can visit Cedargables and see for yourself the expansive outdoor play area, the numerous toys and activities for all ages and the structured classrooms and play areas for the preschoolers. So I will try to tell you some of the intangible benefits of Cedargables. I use the word â??familyâ? when describing Cedargables because I truly consider Karen and all the staff to be an extension of our family. As a new mom I canâ??t tell you how much I valued the ability to seek advice from the experts working at Cedargables. They continue to provide insights based on their experience but never pressured us in any way. In the nearly 4 years the boys have been at Cedargables there has been very little turnover in the staff and itâ??s reassuring that Karen is there working alongside everyone to ensure the quality of care is always maintained. Everyone takes a personal interest in every childâ??s life in and out of school.

We became part of the Cedargables family in January of 2001; during a 9 year span our children attended Cedargables from the infant room thru preschool graduation. Karen and her staff recognized the individual needs of each child and partnering with us to ensure their happiness and development. Life has moved us a 1000 miles away but my kids will always think of Cedargables as a second home.
